I'm up for it - I'm in Mt Lawley, though I have transport so can be mobile enough to get to anywhere!

I know some places in the City or around my area - other than that, not really, though I'm sure we can find somewhere.

Is there only the 3 of us? No-one else on the map, though there must be more of us. :)

Hi guys

I'll be there, as long as I can arrange transport and a babysitter for my three little terrors.

Ooh, can I jump in late? I haven't had internet for a while and missed this message!

I have no really great ideas of where to go either, but I'm near the city so wherever suits me!

Ok, Ok, haven't forgotten!

I have a big softy for the Scotto, so that works for me.

And Saturdays are good as I work 8.30 - 6 Monday to Friday.

So I put my vote in for a Saturday at the Flying Scotsman.

That sounds great! I work occasional Saturdays too, I have the 23th September, 7th October and 14th October off though. Do any of these days fit in with everyone else?

All those dates sound good to me. 14th is the day before the JDRF walk.

Anyone else registered besides me and Bethylated Spirits?

Info's there now, Inga. The walk is around the river near Burswood - about 7kms.

I'm looking forward to it - have no idea what to expect - just looking forward to a fun day in the sun, meeting other people and making $$$ for JDRF.

If there's a few of us, we should get together. Bethylated Spirits, you doing the 10am walk or the 8am one? I'm doing the 10am one (not *that* keen on a Sunday morning! *grin*).

I guess we can sort that out when we meet up.

Any takers for a particular date yet?

Aha, Ms Jax, ofcourse I'm doing the 10am walk!
Not only is 8am too early for me... but travelling the 12 and half hours to get to Newman to do the 8am walk is going to the extreme!!!

Haha :)

*slaps forehead* of course! Just didn't click that it was "Newman", "Newman"....mind you I have no idea what "other" Newman I thought it might be....*rolls eyes*.

I'm sick at the moment (hence surfing during work time), so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Perth meet

Postby Hel » Mon Sep 11, 2006 2:53 pm

Hi all

I've been busy with family stuff and haven't had a chance to add to the conversation. It looks like I won't be able to go anywhere for a couple of months. My eldest is having surgery on Thursday and has to have two weeks off school, then it is school holidays, and then my husband is going away for a few weeks. So I'll have to meet you all next time.

Cheers

Helen

Lol no Inga, not Newman!!!
Newman is a remote yet quite large mining town (iron ore) roughly in the centre of WA, 12 and a half hours out of Perth, on the edge of the Gibson Desert, not to far from Lake Disappointment... hence the jokes :P
Definately doing the Burswood walk... which would be the thriving suburb 5 minutes out of Perth...

I work Monday to Friday and have all weekend off (no, I'm not rubbing it in!!!) so will leave it up to you shift workers to co-ordinate your Saturdays.

I'm free any weekend, so anytime is cool for me - I just wanna meet up with more Perth-ites (Inga, I'm only a couple of years in Perth too) and swap D-tales.

So leaving it all in your more than capable hands.... :)
