Have you been to Vietnam

My family is going to Vietnam for a holiday and would like some advice or recommendations if you have also spent time there with T1.

My son is 12 yrs old and wont heed advice from any one however i will. We have been to other Asian destinations before so dont need the usual re water, food etc but any unique tips wiould be great
