Hi Everyone
T1DCC (Type 1 Diabetes Capricorn Connection) would like to extend a warm invitation to all adults living with type 1 diabetes, & their family/support person, to attend our next group get together at the Rockhampton Community Health Centre, corner Bolsover & Cambridge Streets, Rockhampton, at 2:00pm on Saturday 1 October 2011.
Our guest speaker for this meeting will be dietician Nadia Hassan who will provide us with advice on:
*coping mechanisms for the Christmas party binges,
*ingredients we could exchange in our recipes to make them diabetic friendly,
*reading labels on grocery items,
*GI &
*carb counting.
The T1DCC members would love to meet the Type 1 adults in the Rockhampton & Capricorn Coast area & have a chat over a cuppa, make new friendships & hear what exciting new resources & services are available to us :-) There is no charge to attend this meeting.
